Mayor's Welcome

On behalf of the residents of Oxford I would like to extend a warm welcome to all who visit our website.

The Town of Oxford is known as the Blueberry Capital of Canada and conveniently located off Exit 6 on the Trans Canada Highway.

We are proud of our community and view it as a great place to live or to visit. Oxford offers an excellent quality of life for its residents without the hustle and bustle of a large town or city.

Oxford is located one hour from Moncton International Airport and only one and one half hour from Halifax International Airport. Within commuting distance to Amherst, Truro or Moncton, Oxford is conveniently located to the business community.

Oxford has long been known for the quality of education provided in its schools. With a new P-12 school scheduled to open in September 2009, Nova Scotia Community college with its varied programs located in Springhill only a 15 minute drive, and Mount Allison University well known for its undergraduate programs a short commute away Oxford is able to provide quality education opportunities.
